Principal cartão-postal da França ainda mantém o uso obrigatório de máscaras e opera com os elevadores na metade da ocupação máxima. Torre Eiffel reabre ao público após ficar 8 meses fechada pela pandemia
A Torre Eiffel, principal cartão-postal da França, foi reaberta para o público nesta sexta-feira (16) depois de ficar oito meses fechada por conta da pandemia de Covid-19. Essa foi a primeira vez, desde a Segunda Guerra Mundial, que ela ficou tanto tempo sem receber visitantes.
A volta da atração acompanha o afrouxamento das medidas sanitárias iniciado em junho pelo governo francês, que retirou a obrigatoriedade do uso de máscaras ao ar livre e pôs fim ao toque de recolher.
Mas os visitantes da torre ainda precisarão cumprir com algumas regras:
uso obrigatório de máscara para maiores de 11 anos
elevadores operando a 50% da capacidade
a partir de 21 de julho, será obrigatório apresentar um ‘passe sanitário’, que comprova a vacinação completa ou um teste negativo de Covid feito até 48h antes da visita
Contagem regressiva
Por volta das 13h (horário local, 8h em Brasília) uma longa fila já se formava em frente à atração. Muitos haviam chegado horas antes para garantir a visita.
Após uma animada contagem regressiva, os funcionários da torre receberam os primeiros visitantes entre aplausos e ao som de uma fanfarra (veja no vídeo acima).

A estimativa é de que a atração possa receber até 13 mil visitantes por dia – número bastante menor que os 25 mil recebidos antes da pandemia. Ao menos 70 mil ingressos já foram vendidos.
Na quarta-feira (14), antes de abrir oficialmente, a torre foi palco da tradicional queima de fogos de 14 de julho – Dia da Queda da Bastilha.
