Na terça-feira, Gustavo Franco, Pérsio Arida e Armínio Fraga, criticaram andamento da agenda de privatizações e abertura comercial. O secretário especial de Desestatização, Salim Mattar, respondeu nesta quinta-feira (28) crítica feita por ex-presidentes do Banco Central e disse que concorda que talvez o governo Jair Bolsonaro seja menos liberal do que prega, mas que é o mais liberal que o país já teve.
“Talvez este governo tenha um discurso mais liberal do que está praticando. Concordo. Mas nunca governo nenhum teve uma prática tão liberal quanto este. Isto é claro”, afirmou em evento promovido pelo banco Credit Suisse em São Paulo.

Na terça-feira, no mesmo evento, os ex-presidentes do BC Gustavo Franco, Pérsio Arida e Armínio Fraga, que comandaram a autoridade monetária durante o governo Fernando Henrique Cardoso, criticaram o andamento da agenda de privatizações e a abertura comercial brasileira.
“Nós somos taxados de que a agenda do governo foi uma decepção. Ok. A meta era 80 [bilhões de reais] vendemos 105 [bilhões de reais]. Talvez seja uma decepção, talvez devêssemos propor uma meta de 200 [bilhões de reais]”, emendou Mattar.
De acordo com Salim, a meta da secretaria é vender R$ 150 bilhões em empresas com participação estatal neste ano.
“Os liberais têm a primeira chance de mostrar ao que vieram. A responsabilidade é muito grande”, disse. “Temos de dar o máximo e implementar a pauta mais liberal possível, disse.
Cronograma de privatização
Durante sua participação, Salim Mattar apresentou um cronograma que prevê a privatização de 16 empresas públicas até janeiro de 2022 – cinco a mais do que no plano anunciado em agosto.
