Maior tempo de espera é registrado em Recife, chegando a quase 300 dias, enquanto o Rio de Janeiro tem a menor fila do país, com 126 dias. Grande fila se forma em frente ao Consulado Geral dos EUA em São Paulo.

A fila para emissão do visto norte-americano de turismo e negócio (modalidade B1/B2) caiu pela metade em São Paulo. Em abril de 2023, o tempo de espera chegava a 571 dias, ou seja, mais de um ano. Agora, esse número está abaixo de 300, segundo o consulado.
Como tirar visto americano de turismo
O g1 verificou que a queda também vem sendo registrada em outras regiões que emitem o visto, como Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Porto Alegre e Brasília.
Até o dia 4 de julho de 2023, o tempo de espera para fazer a entrevista na embaixada e consulados brasileiros estava assim:
São Paulo: 251 dias
Rio de Janeiro: 126 dias
Brasília: 154 dias
Porto Alegre: 273 dias
Recife: 296 dias
Para quem precisa fazer a renovação, os números continuam baixos, com São Paulo registrando 21 dias; Recife, 8 dias; Porto Alegre, 3 dias; Rio de Janeiro e Brasília, 1 dia.
“As medidas tomadas pela Embaixada dos EUA no Brasil, que desde o ano passado vem contratando mais oficiais consulares para ampliar sua capacidade de atendimento, começaram a surtir efeitos práticos”, diz o advogado de imigração Felipe Alexandre, da AG Immigration.
Visto americano está mais caro
Desde o dia 17 de junho, a emissão do visto americano B1/B2 está mais cara. O valor passou de US$ 160 para US$ 185 (ou seja, de R$ 767 para cerca de R$ 887, na cotação da moeda brasileira em 4 de julho). Outras modalidades também sofreram reajuste:
Visto para trabalhado temporário (categorias H, L, O, P, Q e R): de US$ 190 para US$ 205 (conversão: de R$ 911 para R$ 983);
Visto para tratado de comércio/investidor (categoria E): de US$ 205 para US$ 315 (conversão: de R$ 983 para R$ 1.510).
Segundo o órgão, o reajuste foi necessário para adequar as receitas aos custos do atendimento, que não estariam sendo cobertos. O governo americano afirmou que os valores poderiam ser ainda maiores se não houvesse revisão de sua proposta original.
