O dólar opera novamente em alta nesta terça-feira (5), depois de ter saltado acentuadamente na sessão anterior, a primeira de 2021, enquanto os operadores monitoravam o avanço da Covid-19 pelo mundo, a imposição de novos lockdowns na Europa e a disputa pelas últimas cadeiras no Senado dos Estados Unidos.
Às 9h27, a moeda norte-americana subia 1,26%, cotada a R$ 5,3349. Na máxima até o momento foi a R$ 5,3379. Veja mais cotações.
Na segunda-feira, o dólar fechou em alta de 1,57%, a R$ 5,2687, após ter acumulado uma alta de 29,36% em 2020.
O Banco Central anunciou para este pregão leilão de swap tradicional para rolagem de até 16 mil contratos com vencimento em maio e setembro de 2021, destaca a Reuters.
Cenário global e local
Nos EUA, os investidores acompanham o segundo turno das eleições na Geórgia para o Senado, que pode determinar o equilíbrio de poder em Washington. Uma vitória democrata em ambas as disputas pode tirar o controle do Senado dos republicanos, impulsionando a agenda do presidente eleito Joe Biden.
Na cena externa, permanecem as esperanças de que vacinas possam conter o coronavírus e levar a uma forte recuperação econômica neste ano, apesar da retomada de medidas de restrição. O Reino Unido, por exemplo, entrou nesta terça-feira em seu terceiro lockdown para frear o aumento de casos de Covid-19 no país.
Os preços do petróleo avançavam ao redor de 1% nesta terça-feira, depois de notícias de que o grupo de produtores Opep está estudando um possível corte de oferta em fevereiro.
Na cena doméstica, pesquisa Datafolha mostrou que 41% dos brasileiros acreditam que a situação econômica do país vá piorar nos próximos meses. Para 28%, ela permanecerá como está, totalizando 69% que consideram que a situação não vai melhorar. Outros 28% acham que haverá melhora.
Segue no radar dos investidores também a eleição para à presidência da Câmara dos Deputados e do Senado.
