Las Vegas (EUA) se prepara para receber um teatro em forma de esfera coberto por milhões de LEDs que geram efeitos visuais diversos. O espaço começou a iluminar a Las Vegas Strip nesta semana, mas a estreia está marcada para o dia 29 de setembro. (Veja no vídeo acima).
Chamado de Sphere, o teatro é equipado com 1,2 milhão de LEDs externos, que podem ser configurados para exibir imagens em grande escala. Os primeiros testes foram feitos na última terça-feira (4) em comemoração ao Dia da Independência dos Estados Unidos.
Nas primeiras imagens, é possível ver cenas da Terra, da Lua e outras animações em 3D (veja no vídeo acima). O Sphere vai acomodar quase 18 mil pessoas e a empresa planeja apresentações musicais e eventos, incluindo de esportes. Ele também terá uma passagem para o Venetian Resort.
Segundo a CNN americana, o Sphere custou US$ 2,3 bilhões para a empresa responsável, a Madison Square Garden Entertainment. A Populous foi a responsável pela arquitetura, empresa famosa por projetar grandes e famosas arenas esportivas pelo mundo.
A estreia em setembro contará com o show ao vivo da banda U2.
