Queimada em área destinada ao plantio de cana-de-açúcar resulta em multas de mais de R$ 200 mil a usina sucroalcooleira

A Polícia Militar Ambiental aplicou multas que totalizaram mais de R$ 200 mil contra uma usina sucroalcooleira identificada como responsável por uma fazenda onde foram constatados focos de queimada em Presidente Epitácio (SP).
Os policiais compareceram à propriedade rural, nesta quarta-feira (12), durante a Operação Corta Fogo, depois de detectarem os focos de queimada através de imagens de satélite.
No local indicado pelas coordenadas geográficas, foi identificada a queimada de uma área comum, destinada para o plantio de cana-de-açúcar, onde na ocasião já havia sido realizada a colheita.
Segundo a polícia, um funcionário da fazenda que reside no local informou que o fogo tinha se iniciado no período da manhã do último dia 27 de julho, logo após o término da colheita, e se alastrado na palha da cana, próximo ao maquinário da usina que estava na propriedade, e que havia um caminhão de combate ao incêndio no momento.
Durante fiscalização no local, os militares constataram que o fogo tinha atingido 199 hectares de área comum destinada ao plantio de cana-de-açúcar e danificado também quatro árvores nativas.

As constatações resultaram na aplicação de dois autos de infração ambiental contra a usina sucroalcooleira:
um, no valor de R$ 1.800,00, por danificar qualquer tipo de vegetação, correspondente a quatro árvores, mediante uso de fogo
e outro, no valor de R$ 199.000,00, por fazer uso de fogo em área agropastoril, correspondente a 199 hectares, sem autorização do órgão ambiental competente, incorrendo no disposto no artigo 58, da resolução SMA 48/2014.
Ao todo, as multas chegaram a R$ 200.800,00.
