Produtores do Centro-Oeste estão investimento mais no boi “padrão China”, já que o mercado tem pago mais pela arroba dele do que por um boi comum.
O boi ‘padrão China’ é, em linhas gerais, um animal jovem, sem doenças ou restrições veterinárias, com no máximo até quatro dentes e 30 meses de vida.
Segundo criadores de gado, a indústria paga até R$ 10 a mais pela arroba do ‘padrão China’ do que pelo boi comum. Isso significa que um boi ‘padrão China’ de vinte arrobas vale R$ 200 a mais.

“A vantagem de produzir esse animal jovem, que é destinado ao mercado chinês, é que você encurta o tempo do animal na sua fazenda, aumenta sua receita, aumenta seu fluxo de caixa na sua fazenda e você antecipa o abate em torno de um ano com o animal confinado”, diz o pecuarista de Mundo Novo, em Goiás.
“Se o animal não fosse confinado, ele iria morrer só no ano seguinte, no final das águas, talvez com menos peso do que ele saiu do confinamento e você não teria nenhuma bonificação por isso. O animal confinado tem uma terminação de carcaça superior e consegue os prêmios que a indústria oferece”, acrescenta.
