A Polícia Militar Ambiental resgatou, nesta quarta-feira (7), seis aves silvestres que eram mantidas irregularmente em cativeiro em duas residências no Jardim Brasil Novo, em Presidente Prudente (SP), e ainda aplicou multas que totalizaram R$ 7,2 mil aos infratores responsáveis pelo aprisionamento dos pássaros. Além disso, os dois homens envolvidos também responderão criminalmente.
Na primeira casa fiscalizada, os policiais constataram que o morador, um homem, de 59 anos, mantinha quatro aves nativas em cativeiro sem autorização do órgão ambiental competente, sendo três coleirinhas-papa-capim e um tico-tico-rei.
O envolvido recebeu um auto de infração ambiental no valor de R$ 2 mil por ter em cativeiro espécimes da fauna silvestre.
As aves, como apresentavam estado bravio, foram soltas em seu hábitat natural, e as gaiolas foram destruídas.

Na outra fiscalização, os militares depararam-se com um homem, de 33 anos, realizando a soltura de uma ave da espécie coleira-papa-capim.
Ele disse ser criador amadorista de passeriformes e ter em seu plantel duas aves sem anilha, sendo um azulão e um trinca-ferro. Além disso, ele também possuía outra ave anilhada da espécie azulão que não estava na relação de seu plantel.
Diante das irregularidades constatadas, o homem recebeu três autos de infração ambiental, que totalizaram R$ 5,2 mil:
um no valor de R$ 2,2 mil por reintroduzir na natureza espécime da fauna silvestre, referente à soltura do primeiro pássaro;
um no valor de R$ 1 mil por ter em cativeiro duas aves da fauna silvestre (um azulão e um trinca-ferro); e
outro no valor de R$ 2 mil por deixar de manter atualizado o registro de acervo faunístico.
As aves da espécie azulão e trinca-ferro que estavam sem anilha foram soltas na natureza por apresentarem estado bravio.
Já o azulão que estava anilhado ficou sob a responsabilidade do infrator até a regularização de seu plantel.
