A Petrobras disse nesta quarta-feira (23) que vai diminuir sua presença internacional no próximo ano, fechando escritórios e concentrando sua atuação comercial fora do país em três escritórios: Roterdã, na Holanda, Houston, nos Estados Unidos, e em Cingapura.
Como parte do processo, as atividades da Petrobras Europe, hoje em Londres, serão transferidas pra Roterdã. A mudança será iniciada no primeiro trimestre de 2021 e encerrada no segundo semestre.
Com a medida, a estatal espera que a economia com a desativação de escritórios externos, iniciada em 2019, atinja US$ 13,5 milhões por ano em 2021. A empresa não informou qual era a economia anterior.
No Brasil, a Petrobras espera uma redução de custos de até US$ 30 milhões no próximo ano. A companhia também não detalhou o que será fechado, dizendo apenas que, dos 23 edifícios que ocupava no país há dois anos, só oito continuarão a ser usados no primeiro trimestre de 2021.
No exterior, dos 18 escritórios que a Petrobras mantinha no fim de 2018, dez já foram fechados, além de Londres. Estão no grupo as representações na China, no México, no Irã, na Turquia e nos Estados Unidos (em Nova York). A empresa também fechou escritórios no Japão, no Paraguai, na Nigéria, na Tanzânia e na Líbia.
Na América do Sul, a Petrobras ainda mantém escritórios na Bolívia, na Argentina, na Colômbia e no Uruguai. Com exceção da Bolívia, os demais devem ser fechados ao fim do processo de desinvestimentos em curso.
