O escocês Ricky Greenhowe, de 47 anos, pesca em Aberdeen, litoral da Escócia, desde a sua adolescência. Na quinta-feira (2), como de costume, ele saiu de manhã a bordo de seu barco e, quando recolheu a rede do mar, para a sua surpresa, percebeu que havia fisgado uma lagosta azul, um tipo muito raro de crustáceo.
Para comemorar a descoberta, Greenhowe postou as fotos da lagosta azul nas redes sociais com a frase “chance de um em 1 milhão, dizem”.
Existe um ditado famoso entre os pescadores que diz que a chance de pescar uma lagosta do tipo são de 1 em 2 milhões, mas a afirmação não tem comprovação científica.
Greenhowe disse à BBC que iria oferecer a lagosta para um aquário da região ou colocá-la de volta no mar.

“Vou telefonar para o Aquário Macduff para ver se eles querem; se não quiserem, vou colocá-lo de volta ao mar”, disse à BBC.
“É tão raro que seria uma pena colocá-la em uma panela”, brincou o pescador.

Em uma das imagens, é possível ver como o azul do crustáceo se destaca dos demais e chega a ser cintilante em alguns pontos do animal marinho.
Segundo Greenhowe, a lagosta azul pescada por ele tem 1,5 kg.
