O Peru vai isentar da quarentena todos os viajantes que chegarem ao país após a retomada dos voos comerciais, nacionais e internacionais. Eles terão apenas que medir a temperatura para descartar sintomas da Covid-19.
Estas medidas vão valer quando as fronteiras forem reabertas, em uma data a ser definida, anunciou o Ministério da Saúde nesta quarta-feira (8).
A decisão é amparada por um protocolo aprovado por autoridades, que inclui o uso de máscaras e entrará em vigor se o governo flexibilizar o estado de emergência sanitária em 31 de julho.
A vice-ministra da Saúde Nancy Zerpa destacou no relatório as medidas que continuarão sendo obrigatórias.
“Este documento estabelece que as medidas de segurança para passageiros e trabalhadores são: uso obrigatório de máscara, lavagem das mãos, distanciamento físico, desinfecção dos ambientes e diagnóstico precoce de casos suspeitos de COVID-19, por medição de temperatura”, explicou Zerpa.
O Peru fechou suas fronteiras por 16 semanas devido à pandemia. No entanto, o governo autorizou voos nacionais entre as regiões menos afetadas, a partir de 15 de julho. As mesmas medidas de segurança sanitária serão aplicadas ao transporte terrestre nacional e internacional.
O estado de emergência será reavaliado em 31 de julho, quando será medido o impacto do desconfinamento nacional em vigor desde 1º de julho e a eventual reabertura de fronteiras.
O Peru é o segundo país com mais casos de coronavírus na América Latina, atrás do Brasil, com mais de 312.911, e é o terceiro em mortes com 11.133.
