Vírus contagioso pelo contato humano surgiu em Wuhan e se espalhou, com mais de 200 casos informados até agora. Os índices acionários da China caíram para mínimas de duas semanas nesta terça-feira (21) diante das crescentes preocupações sobre a disseminação de um novo vírus que matou pelo menos quatro pessoas até agora no país.

O vírus, que autoridades confirmaram ser contagioso através do contato humano, surgiu pouco antes do feriado do Ano Novo Lunar na cidade de Wuhan e se espalhou para Pequim, Xangai e outras localidades, com mais de 200 casos informados até agora.

Os mercados financeiros da China ficarão fechados durante o feriado entre 24 e 31 de janeiro.
“O principal temor é que isso possa se espalhar com o enorme fluxo humano durante o feriado”, disse Alex Wong, diretor gerente da Ample Finance. “As vendas se originaram em ações relacionadas a viagens e agora está se espalhando.”
O índice CSI300, que reúne as maiores companhias listadas em Xangai e Shenzhen, caiu 1,71%, para mínima de duas semanas, enquanto o índice de Xangai teve queda de 1,41%, atingindo o nível mais baixo até agora neste ano. Ambos os índices registraram as maiores perdas diárias desde 11 de novembro de 2019, reduzindo os ganhos conquistados com o otimismo do investidor após o acordo comercial interino entre EUA e China.
As ações de empresas aéreas, cinema e operadores de cassinos caíram. Mas o índice de saúde do CSI300 avançou 0,6%.
Em Tóquio, o índice Nikkei recuou 0,91%, a 23.864 pontos.
Em Hong Kong, o índice Hang Seng caiu 2,81%, a 27.985 pontos.
Em Xangai, o índice SSEC perdeu 1,41%, a 3.052 pontos.
O índice CSI300, que reúne as maiores companhias listadas em Xangai e Shenzhen, retrocedeu 1,71%, a 4.114 pontos.
Em Seul, o índice Kospi teve desvalorização de 1,01%, a 2.239 pontos.
Em Taiwan, o índice Taiex permaneceu fechado.
Em Cingapura, o índice Straits times desvalorizou-se 1,00%, a 3.247 pontos.
Em Sydney, o índice S&P/ASX 200 recuou 0,19%, a 7.066 pontos.
