Uma jaguatirica foi resgatada na última sexta-feira (4) com as quatro patas queimadas por um incêndio às margens do Rio Pixaim, localização do Pantanal em Poconé, a 104 km de Cuiabá.
De acordo com a Secretaria Estadual de Meio Ambiente (Sema), o animal, um macho adulto, passou por eutanásia nesse sábado (5). O procedimento foi escolhido pela gravidade no estado de saúde do felino.
Segundo a equipe da secretaria, funcionários de uma pousada no Pantanal localizaram a jaguatirica ferida e pediram socorro.
O animal estava às margens do rio, em uma área de difícil acesso e cercado por jacarés. A equipe de resgate teve que usar um barco para chegar até o local onde o animal estava. Ele foi contido e sedado para ser levado em segurança.
A jaguatirica foi encaminhada para um posto onde recebeu medicação e atendimento. Por dois dias os socorristas cuidaram da jaguatirica, porém, um especialista em felinos de São Paulo, que está em Mato Grosso, aconselhou a eutanásia.
O procedimento foi feito e o corpo da jaguatirica foi transferido ao Hospital Veterinário (Hovet) da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT).
Incêndios no Pantanal
Os incêndios que atingem a região do Pantanal mato-grossense há cerca de dois meses foram provocados por pessoas, segundo apontam perícias feitas pelo Centro Integrado Multiagências de Coordenação Operacional (Ciman-MT).
As perícias identificaram queima de pasto, fogo em raízes de árvore para retirar mel de abelha e incêndios em máquina agrícola e em veículo (veja mais no vídeo acima).
Os laudos foram encaminhados para a Delegacia de Meio Ambiente (Dema) para a abertura de inquérito e responsabilização dos infratores.
A perícia fez um estudo e analisou imagens de satélite para auxiliar na identificação da origem do incêndio. A plataforma permite o registro diário, assim como a identificação dos focos.
