As importações de carne suína da China dispararam em dezembro, crescendo quase quatro vezes na comparação anual, segundo cálculos da Reuters com dados de alfândega divulgados nesta terça-feira (14), à medida que o país aumentou as compras antes do feriado de Ano Novo Lunar, em janeiro.
As importações em dezembro foram de 375 mil toneladas, segundo cálculos da Reuters, ante 95.384 toneladas no ano anterior e 229.707 toneladas em novembro de 2019.
No ano completo de 2019, as importações de carne suína saltaram 75%, para 2,108 milhões de toneladas, segundo dados da Administração Geral de Alfândegas, após surtos de peste suína africana terem dizimado o enorme rebanho chinês de porcos.
As importações de soja e carne suína da China junto aos Estados Unidos tiveram “significativa recuperação” em novembro e dezembro, disse o vice-ministro de alfândegas Zou Zhiwu em coletiva de imprensa nesta terça-feira.
Ele acrescentou que as importações agrícolas chinesas junto aos EUA foram de 14,1 bilhões de iuanes (2,05 bilhões de dólares) em dezembro.
A declaração vem na véspera da esperada assinatura de um acordo comercial Fase 1 entre Estados Unidos e China.
Surtos de peste suína africana pela China que tiveram início em agosto de 2018 reduziram quase pela metade o rebanho suíno do país, segundo dados oficiais, o que levou a uma disparada dos preços da carne suína para níveis recordes.
Enquanto isso, importações de carne bovina, mais cara mas também cada vez mais popular entre a crescente classe média chinesa, também tiveram expansão, com alta de 80,6% em dezembro ante mesmo mês do ano anterior, segundo cálculos da Reuters. Em 2019, elas saltaram 59,7% ante 2018, para 1,66 milhão de toneladas.
Alta das carnes no Brasil
A falta de carne de porco na China estimulou as importações das carnes brasileiras em 2019. As vendas das proteínas suína e bovina ao exterior bateram recorde no ano passado e fez os preços dispararem no país.
Para aumentar as compras, os chineses habilitaram diversos frigoríficos brasileiros no ano passado. Atualmente 102 indústrias brasileiras estão autorizadas a vender para China:16 de carne suína, e 48 de carne de frango, 37 de carne bovina e 1 de carne de asinino (jumento).
