Um gato doméstico da cidade de Mudjimba, na Austrália, passou cerca de 12 minutos dentro de uma máquina de lavar roupas e sobreviveu –ele ficou machucado depois do ciclo de lavagem com água quente, mas Oscar, o animal, estava vivo e até mesmo dócil, disse sua dona, Amanda Meredith.
O incidente aconteceu no começo do mês, e foi relatado pela rede ABC da Austrália.
Meredith estava ouvindo um miado estranho depois que seu marido ter colocado a roupa de cama para lavar na máquina.
Ela pensou que o som vinha de um armário e foi pendurar as roupas que já estavam limpas no secador. O miado persistia, e ela se deu conta que o gato estava dentro da máquina.
O gato tinha as patas no vidro e, enquanto passava pelas rotações, olhava para a dona, que descreveu a situação como trágica.
O animal recebeu medicação, inclusive anti-inflamatórios, e ficou um dia inteiro no veterinário antes de voltar para casa, onde ele dormiu por sete dias.
