O fotógrafo Sebastião Salgado mostrará 200 grandes painéis fotográficos sobre a região amazônica em uma live no YouTube nesta terça-feira (14). Exposição chegará ao Brasil no ano que vem. Exposição Amazônia será apresentada pela 1ª vez no Brasil.

Fotos de matas, rios e montanhas da região amazônica, como o Monte Roraima, poderão ser vistas nesta terça-feira (14) na exposição Amazônia, do fotógrafo brasileiro Sebastião Salgado.
A mostra será transmitida ao público brasileiro pela primeira vez através do Youtube, às 14h, durante a quarta reunião do Observatório do Meio Ambiente ao Poder Judiciário, coordenada pelo Conselho Nacional de Justiça (CNJ).
Serão 200 grandes painéis fotográficos sobre a região amazônica. As fotos foram tiradas entre 2013 e 2019 durante viagens de Salgado à Amazônia. A exposição também inclui imagens de tribos indígenas que habitam a região.

“Estas imagens são um testemunho do que ainda existe, antes mesmo de desaparecer mais. Para que a vida e a natureza superem a destruição e a depredação, todos os seres humanos, em todo o planeta, devem participar de sua proteção”, disse Sebastião Salgado, em um post no Instagram.
A exposição foi inaugurada na Filarmônica de Paris e vai passar por Roma, Londres, São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. No Brasil, as fotos estarão no Sesc (SP) a partir de fevereiro de 2022 e no Museu de Amanhã (RJ) a partir de julho do próximo ano.
A apresentação do fotógrafo brasileiro ocorre em meio à crescente preocupação, no Brasil e no exterior, com a conservação da Amazônia. Segundo o Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (Inpe), a região registrou 28.060 focos de queimadas em agosto – número acima da média histórica e terceiro maior índice para o mês desde 2010, perdendo apenas para 2019 e 2020.
