A Eletrobras registrou lucro líquido de R$ 2,53 bilhões no segundo trimestre, alta de 439% frente ao mesmo período de 2020 (R$ 469 milhões), segundo balanço divulgado na noite desta quarta-feira (12).
A receita operacional líquida atingiu R$ 7,959 bilhões no 2º trimestre, com crescimento de 49% na comparação anual.
O Ebitda (sigla em inglês para lucros antes de juros, impostos, depreciação e amortização), considerado o principal termômetro da capacidade de geração de caixa, alcançou R$ 3,3 bilhões, alta de 64%.
Em comunicado, a estatal informou que o resultado trimestral foi impulsionado “pelos resultados em transmissão, em decorrência da revisão tarifária periódica com efeitos a partir de julho de 2020 e pela melhora nos resultados de geração”, com aumento do volume e preços praticados nos contratos bilaterais no mercado livre de eletricidade.
Por outro lado, o resultado foi negativamente impactado pelas provisões para contingências de R$ 1,099 bilhão, com destaque para $ 600 milhões de relativos ao empréstimo compulsório.
A dívida líquida recorrente caiu para R$ 21 bilhões, contra R$ 16,9 bilhões no 2º trimestre do ano passado.
A empresa fechou o trimestre com 12.182 empregados, contra 12.552 no final de junho do ano passado.
No mês passado, o presidente Jair Bolsonaro sancionou a medida provisória que viabiliza a privatização da Eletrobras. A previsão é que o cronograma de privatização seja concluído até fevereiro, mas a venda de ações da empresa ao mercado ainda depende da finalização dos estudos sob coordenação do Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) e da aprovação da modelagem pelo TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União).
