O dólar firmava alta nesta segunda-feira (17), em meio a clima otimista no exterior e com os investidores de olho na cena política local.
Às 12h22, a moeda norte-americana subia 0,80%, a R$ 5,4725. Veja mais cotações.
Na sexta-feira, o dólar fechou em alta de 1,17%, a R$ 5,4293. Na semana, subiu 0,30%. No mês, passou a acumular alta de 4,07%, e no ano, de 35,40%.
Nesta segunda-feira, o Banco Central realizará leilão de até 12 mil contratos de swap cambial nesta segunda e distribuídos entre os vencimentos 1º de março de 2021 e 1º de julho de 2021.
A decisão sobre a rolagem de contratos de swap cambial tradicional com vencimento em outubro foi anunciada na quarta-feira, após o BC retomar ofertas líquidas desses ativos pela primeira vez em cerca de três meses.

Cena local e externa
Na cena externa, o dólar caía frente a outra moedas à medida que os investidores ficaram aliviados por um atraso na revisão do pacto comercial EUA-China que deixou o acordo inicial intacto.
Segundo Fernanda Consorte, estrategista de câmbio do banco Ourinvest, um fator positivo para o real nesta segunda-feira era a notícia de que o banco central da China forneceu mais empréstimos de médio prazo ao sistema financeiro.
Por aqui, os economistas do mercado financeiro reduziram mais uma vez a previsão para o tombo Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) de 2020, revisando a estimativa de uma redução de 5,62% para 5,52%, segundo o boletim Focus do Banco Central. Essa foi a sétima semana seguida de melhora do indicador. O governo estima que o PIB vai contrair 4,7% este ano. O IBGE divulgará os dados sobre o segundo trimestre em 1º de setembro.
Economistas e analistas melhoram a estimativa para o PIB de 2020
Já a estimativa de inflação para 2020 foi elevada de 1,63% para 1,67%. Após a queda para a mínima histórica de 2% ao ano na semana passada, o mercado segue prevendo manutenção da taxa básica de juros da economia, a Selic, neste patamar até o fim deste ano.
Para a taxa de câmbio, a projeção para o valor no fim de 2020 continuou em R$ 5,20. Para o fechamento de 2021, ficou estável em R$ 5 por dólar.
Os investidores seguem atentos a Brasília e as discussões em torno do orçamento de 2021 e preocupações sobre o cenário fiscal do país em meio às discussões e declarações divergentes do governo Bolsonaro sobre a manutenção ou flexibilização do teto de gastos.
