O Dia da Árvore foi celebrado com plantio de mudas e ações de conscientização em cidades da região de Presidente Prudente (SP), nesta terça-feira (21).

A Secretaria Municipal de Agricultura, Meio Ambiente e Limpeza Pública de Dracena (SP) promoveu plantios de mudas com estudantes na Emefi Prof. Sérgio Liberatti, no distrito de Jaciporã e também na Escola Estadual Alfredo Machado, no Jardim Brasilândia. Foram plantadas mudas de ipês, patas-de-vaca e ipês de jardim. As escolas infantis também desenvolveram atividades com seus alunos para marcar a data.

Polícia Militar Ambiental

Durante a realização da “Operação Floresta Amiga 2”, uma equipe da Polícia Militar Ambiental participou juntamente com a Secretaria de Meio Ambiente de Martinópolis (SP) de várias atividades de educação ambiental em escolas particulares, municipais e estaduais, incluindo o plantio de mudas de árvores nativas em conjunto com alunos de cinco a dez anos de idade.
Nas ações foram plantadas 150 mudas de árvores nativas e participaram cerca de 100 alunos e 20 professores. Nesta data, além do Dia da Árvore também é celebrado o dia do Policial Militar Ambiental.

Em parceria com escolas das redes pública e privada, a Associação em Defesa do Rio Paraná, Afluentes e Mata Ciliar (Apoena) promoveu a distribuição e plantio de mudas e palestras aos estudantes, em Presidente Epitácio (SP).
Segundo o ambientalista e presidente da organização, Djalma Weffort, as palestras tiveram início nesta segunda-feira (20) e seguem até sexta-feira (24). As mudas foram plantadas nas escolas e também no próprio Parque Apoena. Weffort ainda informou que a associação recebeu nesta terça-feira a visita de araras-canindé em uma árvore da espécie jacarandá-mimoso, que é nativa da região e foi plantada há dez anos no parque.
O ambientalista afirmou ao g1, as araras são atraídas para se alimentarem do fruto do jacarandá-mimoso. “Estamos distribuindo essas mudas para restaurar a cidade com essa espécie, não só Presidente Epitácio, mas toda a região. Além de atrair as araras, essa árvore também embeleza o município”, concluiu Weffort.
