A Confederação Nacional do Comércio de Bens, Serviços e Turismo (CNC) estima que 727,8 mil postos de trabalho serão perdidos no setor turístico brasileiro por causa do impacto da pandemia do novo coronavírus. A entidade também calcula em R$ 87,79 bilhões os prejuízos no espaço de 3 meses.
As medidas de isolamento social e o fechamento de fronteiras adotadas para deter o contágio da Covid afetaram o setor. A CNC afirma que não vê no cenário atual uma perspectiva de reversão das perdas acumuladas até agora.
Setor turístico avalia que imagem do Brasil pode dificultar a retomada
Rio de Janeiro (R$ 12,48 bilhões) e São Paulo (R$ 31,77 bilhões) concentram mais da metade do prejuízo nacional registrado. A taxa média de cancelamento nessas localidades chegou a superar 90% no fim de março. A entidade pede a adoção de medidas de ajuda governamental para socorrer o turismo brasileiro.
Hotéis fechados
Apesar da reabertura de algumas unidades que estavam sem funcionar desde o final de março, 60% dos hotéis brasileiros continuam fechados por causa da pandemia, de acordo com pesquisa do Fórum dos Operadores Hoteleiros do Brasil (Fohb).
No final de abril, o percentual de hotéis fechados no país chegou a 69% e, na semana passada, estava em 63%, segundo o levantamento.
A pesquisa mostra também que entre os hotéis com as operações suspensas, 84,7% pretendem reabrir as portas entre junho e julho, ante 74,3% que tinham essa expectativa na semana anterior.
O levantamento, que tem sido feito semanalmente desde o final de março, mapeia 884 hotéis de 65 redes, em 209 cidades e 26 estados, que reúnem, juntos, uma disponibilidade de 142.892 quartos (UHs) no país.
