A Petrobras anunciou nesta segunda-feira (6) que o Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) comunicou à companhia que avançou em seu plano que prevê a venda de ações que detém na petroleira, por meio de uma oferta pública.
Segundo o comunicado, o BNDES convidou os bancos Credit Suisse, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Banco Múltiplo, Bradesco BBI, o BB-Banco de Investimento, o Citigroup Global Markets, a Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários S.A., o Goldman Sachs, o Morgan Stanley e a XP Investimentos para atuarem como instituições intermediárias na “potencial venda de até a totalidade das ações ordinárias de emissão da Petrobras de sua titularidade”.
Segundo o documento protolocado na Securities and Exchange Comission (SEC, órgão que regula o mercado de ações nos EUA), o BNDES poderá vender até 734,2 milhões de ações ordinárias da Petrobras, segundo a agência Reuters.
“Esse formulário ainda será analisado pela SEC, estando sua efetividade condicionada à aprovação por tal órgão, não representando, neste momento, o registro de uma oferta de ações nos Estados Unidos, no Brasil ou em outra jurisdição”, destacou a Petrobras.
A companhia antecipou, no entanto, que a venda dos papéis será realizada pelo BNDES por meio de ofertas globais e domésticas, que concorrerão entre si.
As ações ordinárias do BNDES na Petrobras podem render R$ 23,4 bilhões se vendidas ao preço de fechamento de sexta-feira, de R$ 31,99 por papel, destaca a Reuters.
Em 30 de novembro de 2019, o BNDES detinha 734.202.699 ações ordinárias da Petrobras, representando cerca de 10% do total de ações ordinárias emitidas pela companhia.
Atualmente o BNDES detém também 2,9% das ações preferenciais da Petrobras, com participação de 6,9% do capital total da Petrobras.
