Após quatro anos do incêndio criminoso no Seringal Urbano Parque Capitão Ciríaco, em Rio Branco, que destruiu, além da estrutura física, o acervo histórico com mais de 100 peças, o local foi reaberto para visitação do público nesta sexta-feira (18).
O parque é o único seringal a céu aberto do mundo. O antigo seringal foi de propriedade de Ciríaco Joaquim de Oliveira, que recebeu de Plácido de Castro a terra juntamente com a condecoração de capitão em 1911. Tudo isso foi após a Revolução Acreana que resultou na anexação do território acreano ao Brasil.
Em 2016, um incêndio que atingiu o parque foi uma das várias ocorrências que marcaram o mês de agosto daquele ano no Acre. Na época, houve o registro de diversos atentados em resposta à morte de um assaltante durante troca de tiros com a Polícia Militar. No mesmo dia que atearam fogo ao patrimônio histórico, foram contabilizadas pelo menos outras nove ocorrências.
Após o incêndio, o local foi submetido a alguns pequenos reparos e seguiu com algumas poucas atividades culturais, através da visitação de alunos. A partir do mês de julho, o local passou por reforma e reflorestamento.
Entre as mudanças, a estrutura de madeira da passarela foi substituída por uma de concreta e um plantio de árvores e também implantação de paisagismo no seringal. Além da área externa, o público vai ter acesso também a salas de exposições que contam um pouco da história e cultura do povo acreano.
O público vai poder ficar o local das 9h às 17h.
“É o único seringal aberto do mundo, existe seringueiro dentro e todo um contexto histórico das casas, a casa grande, o armazém, a igreja, os galpões que constroem uma identidade nossa. Nesse contexto, reinauguramos o parque destruído pelo fogo pelas facções e entregamos para sociedade um resgate da nossa história”, disse o secretário de Meio Ambiente de Rio Branco, Aberson Carvalho.
