Quarenta por cento dos microempreendedores individuais (MEIs) disponibilizaram aos seus clientes o pagamento digital no primeiro ano de funcionamento da empresa, segundo levantamento da Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), consultoria da Visa. Nas médias e grandes empresas esse percentual aumenta para 61%.
A pesquisa considera o prazo entre a data de abertura do CNPJ na Receita Federal e a primeira transação com Visa. O pagamento digital pode ter sido realizado em e-commerces, por link de pagamento e em maquininhas com cartões de crédito, débito e pré-pago.

O número de microempreendedores individuais vem crescendo desde o início da pandemia do coronavírus. No início deste ano, o Brasil teve recorde na abertura de novos MEIs e ultrapassou 11 milhões de empresas deste porte. Muitos desses negócios já nasceram oferecendo o pagamento digital aos seus clientes.
“Nos últimos dois anos, percebemos que os MEIs têm buscado com mais rapidez os pagamentos digitais, por entenderem os benefícios de segurança, opções de parcelamento e garantia de recebimento e pela crescente demanda dos clientes por experiências de compras mais inovadoras, práticas e convenientes”, afirma Oscar Pettezzoni, diretor executivo da Visa Consulting & Analytics.
MEIs de alguns setores se destacam ao adotarem pagamentos digitais de forma mais rápida, principalmente pela natureza do negócio. Confira os segmentos em que mais empresários deste porte levaram menos de um ano para realizar a primeira venda com cartões:
Restaurantes: 60%
Fast food e delivery: 54%
Atacadistas, Supermercados e Mercados: 47%
De acordo com o estudo, os índices de uso de aceitação do pagamento por aproximação e as vendas pela internet dos MEIs caminham no mesmo patamar em empresas de grande e médio portes, o que demonstra que os MEIs estão atentos à inovação.
“Os estabelecimentos comerciais que seguem a tendência de pagamento por aproximação têm notado um grande potencial para alavancar os negócios de suas empresas dada a rapidez e inovação desta modalidade de pagamento – é um caminho sem volta e que agrega muito à toda a experiência de compra”, explica Oscar.
