A Embraer emitiu nesta quinta-feira (23) uma nota ao mercado informando que assinou contrato com cinco bancos públicos e privados para contrair US$ 300 milhões em empréstimos para financiar o capital de giro para exportações.
Segundo o comunicado, os desembolsos devem ser concluídos até o final deste mês para reforçar a posição de caixa da empresa.
“As linhas de financiamento têm prazo de dois a quatro anos. Os recursos serão usados durante a fase de produção até o momento do embarque dos produtos para o mercado externo”, explica o texto assinado por Antonio Carlos Garcia, vice-presidente executivo financeiro e de Relações com Investidores.
Em junho, a empresa já havia emitido um comunicado sobre a intenção de obter financiamentos no valor de até US$ 600 milhões. Além dos US$ 300 milhões anunciados nesta quinta-feira, a empresa pleiteia os outros 50% junto ao BNDES.
No início de junho, a Embraer registrou um prejuízo líquido atribuído aos acionistas de R$ 1,276 bilhão no primeiro trimestre, um salto de 694% na comparação com o prejuízo de R$ 160,8 milhões nos três primeiros meses de 2019.
Além do contexto de crise do setor aéreo, a Embraer vinha enfrentando dificuldades desde o fim do acordo com a Boing. A empresa informou no balanço que os custos de separação dos negócios relacionados com a parceria estratégica com a Boeing, agora encerrada, reconhecidos em janeiro, foram de R$ 96,8 milhões.
