The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, known as Itamaraty, convened a meeting this week with representatives from the diplomatic corps in Brasília to discuss the final stages of the G20 Leaders' Summit organization. The briefing focused on logistical arrangements, security protocols, and the arrival of heads of state scheduled for the upcoming weeks in Rio de Janeiro. This move reinforces Brazil's role as the current presidency of the group, emphasizing global governance reform and social inclusion.
During the session, Brazilian diplomats highlighted the importance of the 'Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty,' a flagship initiative of the current presidency. Foreign representatives were updated on the drafting of the final ministerial declarations and the expected outcomes for the summit. The coordination efforts aim to ensure a seamless transition between the technical working groups and the high-level political decisions expected from the leaders.

Furthermore, the Secretariat for International Relations provided details regarding the media facilities and bilateral meeting rooms available at the summit venue. Itamaraty stressed that the event will be a crucial moment for Brazilian soft power, showcasing the country's ability to mediate complex international dialogues.
Embaixadas present at the briefing expressed their commitment to fostering cooperation during the event, which is expected to be one of the largest diplomatic gatherings in South America in recent years.
