The Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion (Embratur) is currently expanding its global reach by establishing new cooperation agreements with diplomatic representations in Brasília. The agency's primary objective is to reposition Brazil as a leading destination for sustainable tourism, highlighting the diversity of the Amazon, the Pantanal, and the Cerrado biomes to the European and North American markets.

This move aligns with the federal government's broader strategy to use environmental preservation as a tool for economic development.

According to official statements from the agency, the focus will transition from traditional coastal tourism to immersive ecological experiences. This includes supporting local communities and promoting indigenous-led tourism initiatives, which have seen a growing demand from international travelers seeking authentic cultural exchanges. Embratur is working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) to simplify visa processes for specific strategic partners and improve the overall welcoming infrastructure at major international airports.

Furthermore, the agency is preparing a series of international roadshows to take place in the second half of the year. These events will gather travel agents, international press, and potential investors to discuss the expansion of flight routes connecting Brasília directly to major global capitals. By enhancing air connectivity, Embratur expects to decentralize tourism flow, bringing more visitors to the heart of the country and the Federal District, showcasing the architectural and cultural heritage of the capital.
