Depois de fechar para o público por causa da pandemia de coronavírus, um parque de animais próximo a Tóquio, no Japão, reabriu como atração “drive-thru”, permitindo que os moradores locais apreciem o cenário e a vida silvestre seguros em seus carros.
A fazenda Mother Farm, localizada 70 quilômetros ao sul do centro da capital, suspendeu as operações no começo de abril depois que o governo japonês declarou um estado de emergência.
Agora o parque abriu as portas para proporcionar uma mudança de ares e ajudar a aliviar o estresse das pessoas que ficaram confinadas em casa durante a crise, disse sua porta-voz.
As pessoas que moram na área tiveram permissão de visitar a partir do final de abril, e a fazenda foi aberta para os moradores do município da grande Chiba em 9 de maio.

Agora cerca de 200 carros visitam a atração todos os dias, pagando o equivalente a cerca de R$ 160 para percorrerem 3,5 quilômetros de uma estrada cheia de curvas e verem animais como alpacas, avestruzes e emus.
“Não temos mais muitas oportunidades de sair, então foi ótimo tomar um pouco de ar fresco e ver os animais de perto”, disse Masayuki Arinobu, morador local de 47 anos que esteve na fazenda com a família nesta sexta-feira.
Sae, sua filha de 21 anos, disse que gostou da oportunidade de conversar com a família no carro, mas que ficou decepcionada por não poder tocar nos animais.
O Japão teve cerca de 17 mil casos positivos e 726 fatalidades da Covid-19 até agora, de acordo com uma contagem da Reuters.
