Queda devolveu a elevação de preços após tensão entre Irã e EUA. Barril do Brent fechou esta sexta-feira a US$ 64,98, mas cenário ainda é de cautela. O petróleo Brent recuou para abaixo dos US$ 65 por barril nesta sexta-feira (10) e registrou a primeira queda semanal desde o final de novembro.
O recuo na semana devolveu ganhos apurados após ataque dos Estados Unidos que matou um importante general iraniano, à medida que investidores voltaram o foco para os crescentes estoques norte-americanos e outros sinais de ampla oferta.
Mesmo assim, os mercados ainda avaliam os riscos de conflito no longo prazo, o que fez com que as cotações operassem em alta por um breve período nesta sexta-feira, diante de novas sanções impostas pelos EUA sobre o Irã em retaliação a um ataque com mísseis da república islâmica contra bases norte-americanas no Iraque.
Valor de referência internacional, o petróleo Brent fechou em queda de US$ 0,39, a US$ 64,98 por barril. O petróleo dos EUA cedeu US$ 0,52, para US$ 59,04 o barril.
“Com o recuo do Irã (no conflito), houve uma sensação de que a oferta de petróleo está bastante segura. Mas agora, com o estabelecimento de novas sanções e o relato de que um navio russo agiu de maneira agressiva contra uma embarcação dos EUA, um pouco de temor voltou a rondar o mercado”, disse Phil Flynn, analista de petróleo do Price Futures Group.
Na semana, o Brent acumulou um recuo de 5,3%, enquanto o WTI teve baixa de 6,4%. Agora, ambos os valores de referência já operam abaixo do patamar visto antes de um ataque dos EUA com drone matar o general iraniano Qassem Soleimani em 3 de janeiro.
