O Parlamento da França aprovou nesta sexta-feira (5) uma polêmica prorrogação do uso do passaporte sanitário até 31 de julho de 2022, uma decisão criticada pela oposição em plena pré-campanha das eleições à presidência previstas para abril e maio.
Após uma série de idas e vindas com o Senado, os deputados franceses aprovaram por 118 votos a favor, 89 contrários e uma abstenção a medida proposta pelo governo e que os senadores haviam rejeitado na quinta-feira (4).
“A situação sanitária e sua evolução nos próximos meses justificam completamente”, afirmou antes da votação o secretário de Estado, Adrien Taquet, em nome do Executivo, referindo-se a um eventual aumento de contágios por Covid-19.

O Senado e a oposição defendiam a prorrogação até 28 de fevereiro, para obrigar o governo a apresentar a medida novamente a deputados e senadores antes das eleições. Partidos opositores já anunciaram um recurso ao Conselho Constitucional.
O passaporte sanitário é obrigatório desde o verão (hemisfério norte, inverno no Brasil) em locais que recebem mais de 50 pessoas, assim como bares, restaurantes, hospitais (exceto emergências) e shoppings.
Os cidadãos da França podem obter o documento, se estiverem completamente vacinados contra a Covid-19, ou apresentarem um teste negativo. Desde outubro, este exame é pago para as pessoas que não tomaram a vacina.
