Segundo sindicato, parada é técnica para a implantação de nova plataforma que vai viabilizar produção de novos modelos na planta. Fábrica da Volkswagen em Taubaté vai entrar em férias coletivas

A Volkswagen vai dar férias coletivas para 2,2 mil funcionários da fábrica de Taubaté (SP) a partir de 3 de maio. De acordo com o Sindicato dos Metalúrgicos, a medida é para a implantação da plataforma de produção MQB, uma nova tecnologia usada pela empresa.
De acordo com a entidade, as férias coletivas são uma parada técnica que vai durar entre os dias 3 e 12 de maio. A medida vale para funcionários dos dois turnos.
O anúncio da inclusão da plataforma MQB veio logo após o fim da produção do Up!, um dos modelos que eram produzidos na planta no interior paulista. À época, o sindicato informou que aguardava a instalação da nova tecnologia que vai permitir a produção de novos modelos na planta.
Atualmente, a unidade de Taubaté produz os modelos Voyage e Gol. O último investimento na cidade feito pela multinacional havia sido o Up!.
A Volkswagen foi procurada pelo G1 e informou que “a concessão de férias coletivas para os empregados da fábrica de Taubaté trata-se de uma parada técnica para manutenção das linhas de produção”.
