Ministro da Economia afirmou que mudança determinada por Bolsonaro na presidência da estatal faz sentido do ponto de vista político e é resposta a revindicações dos caminhoneiros. O ministro da Economia, Paulo Guedes, afirmou nesta terça-feira (2) que a mudança do presidente da Petrobras foi “ruim” do ponto de vista econômico, mas ressalvou que entende a “lógica política” da decisão do presidente Jair Bolsonaro.
No último dia 19, um dia após criticar a alta nos preços dos combustíveis, Bolsonaro anunciou a indicação do general Joaquim Silva e Luna para o lugar de Roberto Castello Branco na presidência da Petrobras, escolhido por Guedes. A decisão foi tomada depois de críticas de Jair Bolsonaro à gestão da Petrobras e às sucessivas altas no preço dos combustíveis. O anúncio provocou efeito negativo na bolsa de valores, e o preço das ações da estatal despencou.

Além de anunciar a troca no comando da Petrobras o presidente também zerou, por dois meses, todos os impostos federais incidentes sob o óleo diesel. O decreto que zerou a alíquota do PIS e Cofins foi publicado na segunda-feira.
“É compreensível do ponto de vista político. Do ponto de vista econômico, o efeito foi ruim, essa foi a nossa conversa interna. O presidente sabe o que eu penso, eu sei o que o presidente pensa”, afirmou durante entrevista à rádio Jovem Pan.
Guedes disse que a troca foi uma “satisfação” aos caminhoneiros, que se queixam da alta nos preços do diesel e são “eleitores típicos”, segundo o ministro, de Bolsonaro.
“Para o público caminhoneiro, que é um público que é associado ao presidente Bolsonaro, são eleitores típicos, fiéis do presidente Bolsonaro, o presidente deu uma satisfação: ‘Tirei o cara que disse que não liga para vocês e tirei todos os impostos. Estou eliminando os impostos'”, afirmou. Guedes disse que o governo está tentando fazer isso da forma mais correta possível.
Guedes culpou o excesso de estatais pela polêmica com o preço dos combustíveis.
“O governo puxou para si a bomba de controlar o preço. O povo acha que o governo que manda, que é a Petrobras. Isso é um problema político sério”, disse. Para o ministro, ter estatal com ações na bolsa é uma anomalia. “Não é tatu nem cobra”.
