Comissão depende ainda de autorização do presidente do Senado, Davi Alcolumbre (DEM-AP). Pedido com 27 assinaturas foi protocolado pela senadora Eliziane Gama (Cidadania-MA). Senadores protocolaram nesta quarta-feira (23) o pedido de criação de uma Comissão Parlamentar de Inquérito (CPI) da Crise Ambiental. A instalação da CPI depende agora da autorização do presidente do Senado, Davi Alcolumbre (DEM-AP).
O recolhimento das assinaturas foi capitaneado pela senadora Eliziane Gama (Cidadania-MA), coordenadora da Frente Ambientalista no Senado. Segundo Eliziane, o objetivo é investigar o “desmonte da governança ambiental” no Poder Executivo, além das queimadas na Amazônia e no Pantanal.

“Culpar índios e caboclos pelos incêndios na Amazônia e no Pantanal, como fez Bolsonaro no discurso para a ONU, é um acinte à inteligência nacional e internacional, uma agressão aos fatos, ao não falar de madeireiros, grileiros e especuladores impatrióticos”, criticou a senadora durante discurso no plenário, nesta quarta.

O número de 27 assinaturas corresponde a um terço dos 81 senadores com mandato, mínimo necessário para a abertura de uma CPI. O pedido foi protocolado na Mesa Diretora do Senado, mas a comissão só pode ser instalada se houver autorização de Alcolumbre.
Em discurso na ONU, Bolsonaro diz que índios e caboclos promovem queimadas
A senadora Eliziane Gama criticou a condução da política ambiental pelo governo federal, em especial pelo Ministério do Meio Ambiente.
“Os dados apontam que tivemos apenas 0,4% de execução orçamentária do recurso para o meio ambiente, ou seja, nós temos pouco dinheiro para o meio ambiente, e o pouco dinheiro que temos ainda não é aplicado, o percentual, de fato, muito baixo”, declarou.
Em geral, as CPIs instaladas no Congresso têm prazo de 180 dias para funcionamento e, ao final, emitem um relatório para embasar processos das polícias e do Ministério Público.
Queimadas intensas afetam Pantanal, Amazônia e cerrado
A CPI tem poder de investigação similar ao das autoridades judiciais. Pode, por exemplo, determinar diligências, ouvir indiciados e testemunhas e requisitar serviços policiais.
Convite a autoridades
Também nesta quarta, a comissão do Senado que acompanha os incêndios no Pantanal aprovou convites para que quatro autoridades federais visitem as áreas afetadas pelo fogo.
Foram convidados o vice-presidente da República, Hamilton Mourão, e os ministros Ricardo Salles (Meio Ambiente), Rogério Marinho (Desenvolvimento Regional), e Tereza Cristina (Agricultura). Por ser um convite, o atendimento dessas autoridades é opcional.
A comissão também aprovou um requerimento para realizar uma audiência pública com a presença do presidente do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), Luiz Fux. A reunião ainda não tem data para acontecer.
