A empresa pode reduzir sua frota em mais 30 aviões nos próximos dois anos, se for necessário. A Gol informou nesta quinta-feira (9), em relatório preliminar de desempenho no mês de junho, que prevê devolver sete aviões modelo Boeing 737-800 no segundo semestre do ano. Na primeira metade do ano, a companhia reduziu a sua frota em 11 aviões B737-800.

A Gol disse que pode reduzir sua frota em mais 30 aviões nos próximos dois anos, se for necessário. Isso porque a empresa tem flexibilidade nos contratos para devolver as aeronaves se a demanda estiver fraca.
A Gol também cortou os recebimentos do Boeing 737 Max para 2020 a 2022 em 47 unidades, e reduziu os investimentos para R$ 280 milhões entre julho e dezembro, com planos de financiar totalmente o investimento e a revisão de motores remanescentes em 2020.
A empresa aérea fechou junho com uma frota total de 130 aviões Boeing 737. Desse total, 27 estavam operando na malha aérea. As operações foram iguais a 13% do nível de operações de junho de 2019, aumentando para 17% no final do período com a reabertura de cinco bases, assim como o aumento de voos entre São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro.
Em junho, a Gol informou que passou a oferecer 120 voos diários, aumentando as frequências nos aeroportos de Guarulhos, Galeão e Brasília. Em julho, a Gol aumentou a oferta para aproximadamente 250 voos por dia, o que corresponde a 25% do realizado no mesmo mês do ano passado. A Gol vai operar com 36 aviões em julho e planeja reabrir operação em 14 aeroportos.

Com o aumento dos voos, a Gol prevê aumentar a sua capacidade em 300% no terceiro trimestre em comparação com o segundo trimestre e aumentar mais 120% no quarto trimestre, em comparação ao terceiro trimestre.
A companhia informou ainda que fechou o segundo trimestre do ano com uma dívida líquida equivalente a 4,1 vezes o seu lucro antes de juros, impostos, depreciação e amortização (Ebitda, na sigla em inglês), excluindo despesas não operacionais e não recorrentes. A Gol informou que amortizou aproximadamente R$ 656 milhões de dívida no trimestre.
