A Torre Eiffel será reaberta ao público a partir de 25 de junho. O monumento símbolo da capital francesa estava fechado por causa da pandemia de Covid-19 desde 13 de março. Por razões sanitárias, o acesso será limitado e o uso de máscaras obrigatório.
Ela faz parte da lista de lugares indispensáveis dos turistas de passagem por Paris. Para quem descobre a capital francesa pela primeira vez e até mesmo para que já conhece a cidade, a Torre Eiffel sempre está no programa, seja para subir as escadarias, enfrentar o fila nos elevadores ou apenas admirá-la de longe, do terraço de um restaurante ou durante um passeio nas margens do Rio Sena.
Mas desde 13 de março, como praticamente todos os pontos turísticos de Paris, o acesso ao monumento estava proibido.
Para a alegria dos visitantes, que começam a voltar aos poucos à capital francesa, os administradores da Torre Eiffel informaram nesta terça-feira (9) que o monumento será reaberto, após quase três meses sem receber turistas.
Segundo o site da torre, trata-se do período de fechamento mais longo desde a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Em um primeiro momento, os visitantes poderão subir apenas até o segundo andar do monumento. Além disso, os maiores de 11 anos serão obrigados a usar uma máscara de proteção.
Homenagem aos profissionais da saúde
Durante a quarentena, o mais famoso monumento da França, com seus 324 metros de altura, serviu de pano de fundo para homenagens aos médicos e enfermeiros que estavam na linha de frente contra a pandemia.
Primeiro com luzes piscando às 20h, no momento em que a população aplaudia os funcionários dos hospitais em suas janelas. Em seguida, a palavra “Merci” (obrigado, em francês) passou a ser projetada na Torre, assim como mensagens pedindo para que os parisienses ficassem em casa.
No dia 8 de maio retratos de enfermeiros e voluntários também foram projetados em um telão na torre.
Construído em 1889 por Gustave Eiffel, o monumento acolhe cerca de 7 milhões de visitantes por ano.
